Bargaining
When locals of the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators are engaged in bargaining, regular communication is sent to members and posted on the website. Bargaining bulletins and bargaining backgrounders support members’ demands. FPSE's Bargaining Co-ordination Committee actively monitors negotiations across the post-secondary system and assists in coordinating bargaining. While most rounds of bargaining are settled without resorting to job action, FPSE’s Strike/Lockout Defence Fund is there if members need it. The Procedure for Accessing the Strike/Lockout Defence Fund, outlined in the FPSE Policy & Procedures Manual, explains how locals access this substantial fund.
